Help your Baby, Put the Father’s Name on the Birth Certificate!

After a baby is born, an unmarried mother and biological father may sign a form that will place the father’s name on the birth certificate. He will then be a legal father. This form is called Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity.

You will get this form from the hospital when your baby is born. You may also get the form by asking your local child support agency, your midwife or local Department of Health.

You should have the Voluntary Acknowledgment of Paternity form notarized (witnessed). You each must sign the form in front of a Notary Public at the hospital. There is no fee when the form is sent from the hospital with the birth certificate.

This USA TODAY campaign is primarily targeted to their advertising and circulation partners. The tagline is “What America Wants” and the creative showcases how the USA TODAY brand is uniquely relevant to American people, in a way that no other media company can truly match. The campaign will run throughout most of 2010 with the heaviest flights in the Spring and in the Fall.

I supply one of the background voices for :30 TV commercial. My voice can be heard about :15 sec into the commercial.

The campaign creative was developed by The Farm advertising agency based in Roanoke, Va., and media planning and buying was executed by Brand Cottage based in New Cannan, Conn.
